If you listen closely, it just makes so much _sense_. castlemortonravekid Subi, fresh from sorting us the new version of da m211 screensaver, blasts us another of his telegrams from A500 space, and it's so.. him. Where else could you get that authentic 1991 flava and the mechtinnytech snarerush that signifies the start of another blastin' subi tune? nowhere else, that's where. when i compared m211's fascination with subi to john peel's fascination with the fall, subi got a bit upset... but do...

Ohno, we'll never stop releasing the Subi sound, purely because.. oh, heck, we're much too fond of the old coot. He beavers away up in his attic creating weird sorta retro but appealing horribly lo-fi harsh little tunes, and we can't help but put them out. There's also an appealing half-manga little doodle from Subi himself we've included as some kind of album cover manque. Aww, isn't he sweet? :)

More wonderfulness that appears to have been unearthed from about 1991 but is in fact brand-new from the mad mind of a Subi on the rampage. :) Also featuring the vocal talents of some particularly crazed period English comedy types, this is vintage daftness. Keep it up up up, mon. This neat little package also comes with a nice cover designed+pixeled by Subi himself - is there no end to peoples' talents round here? Jeez ;)

A new EP from the always interesting Subi, and another example of his dense, breakbeat-led style. :) Curiously oldskool but somehow new at the same time - straange. You may, if you wish, try to decode the titles of the tracks too, but we have enough trouble even when he explains them to us. Oh, and doesn't the first track sound curiously like the tune by Static from the Rebels demo "Total Triple Trouble"? And that was about 1991. ;)

Well, Subi tries to confound us again with one of his completely unclassifiable songs, just when we've decided to put our techno output on a sublabel. Thanks _so_ much. ;) This tune definitely rules, but should it go out on Mono or Monotonik? Well, think of it this way - do mad screaming Prodigy-style songs full of guitar get played out more by the Chemical Brothers or the Aphex Twin? Yep, Chemicals every time, and since this is a close relative to jungle and a distant cousin of bigbeat, it...

Subi returneth after a looong break with this, his first tune not done on a old, old, oldskool Amiga 600. :) Which means, wow, his tunes can be longer than 350k now. :) So he's celebrated with this rather excellent breakbeat tune, again kinda reminiscent of early Prodigy, and with vocals from a certain slumbering band. Shh. :) We like releasing Subi's tracks because they're just a bit.. out there.

Subi returns with another unique experience - late analogue synths and tinges of happy hardcore make for an early-Prodigy influenced belter. Listen to the track build, and build, and build.. hmm, 'A500 Luddism' sounds pretty, uhh, interesting from where I'm standing. :)

Well, this is a Subi tune from a year or two ago which never got released, so I figured it was time to give it away now. It's pretty original, not least because the speeded-up voice is Subi himself and it's his own lyrics. Oh, and "the animal is back" figures in the words because the tune was construkted when Subi and I were in Desire. And that's their slogan. Sorted. Oh, and I think the main break is from Prodigy "One Love", isn't it? Finally, try saying the title out loud...

Another of Subi's delightfully unconventional tunes, and this time it's a little bit of Babylon Zoo and a little bit of the Trance Europe Express mix of Spooky and Billy Ray Martin. I try not to release tunes that could be construed as 'just' sample-mixes, and.. this tune isn't just a sample-mix. :) It has to be said that I really admire Subi's style because it's just so original. And contrary to popular belief, Subi really does exist, he's just not on the scene at all. :) Oh yeah, and a point...

Another Subi release, another completely indescribable but pretty damn cool piece of elektronik musik. This one's quite old now, but definitely still worth releasing.. _definitely_, hehe. Subi's given me the list of samples he used for this mutha, and interested parties might like to know the main sample is from Mukkaa "Neebro", and the other samples come from Subi himself, Tango, The Prodigy, Dream Frequency, NRG, and Love Decade. Classy, maaan. Wind it up. :)

Subi's debut Mono release, and an example of his inimitable, pretty much indescribable style. All I can say is that nobody else is composing MODs quite like this at the moment, and the closest parallel I can think of for his work is the Utah Saints. :) Poor old Subi has been stuck on an A500 up to now (maximumlength of MODs 350k for him!), but now he's getting an A1200, expect some real big new tunes. He IS back. [for old-skool Amiga fans, Subi used to be called Subculture, you may have heard...
